Father Richard John Neuhaus went to God this morning.
A great theologian and pastor. His death, like all deaths, is a great sorrow.
Even with our hope of heaven death separates us, temporarily, from the ones
we love. They say that our sorrow from death is a proof of eternal life.
We long for the time when we will be united in love for eternity without
the separation that comes through spiritual and physical death. That is our
hope and joy.
Eternal Rest Grant him, O Lord.
May his soul rest in peace.
