All I Want to Do: I want to share this prayerful song with you by Ginny Owens, a young singer with a beautiful voice who has been blind since she was two years old. I went to YouTube to find the song and I found one video highlighting Mary's fiat. The song fits perfectly for that. She is our sure example of surrendering our life to God. This theme is a very fitting for Lent as we all try to give our lives in friendship and love to God in a deeper, more complete way.
However, I choose another video which was made by Antioch Adoptions as a promotion. It touched me, as a mother, because the words in this song have been our parenting theme. How many times have I prayed: Dear God, "All I want to do is give this life to you." It's interesting how the words "this life" can mean our own life, or a life that God puts in our hands. I offer my children, again this day to God. I place them in his hands.
Either way, this song is for you.
